2WIN + Kaleidos

What is it ?

The 2WIN Binocular Objective Refractometer is a mobile binocular video refractometer and vision analyzer that measures both eyes simultaneously under realistic vision conditions. It embodies the best and most comprehensive technology for complete detection of refractive errors, visual impairments and vision problems.

Additional features

CR-App

With “Corneal Reflex Analysis”, 2WIN can help you in your daily work by automating refraction analysis with documented phoria and tropia (horizontal and vertical) information. CR-App compares the position of corneal reflexes in three different dimensions (first binocular, second and third monocular under an infrared occluder).

DP-App

Automatically measures the dynamic pupil response to programmed light stimulation to detect subtle pupil changes, eliminating subjectivity in pupil assessment.

66cm-App.

With 2WIN’s Intermediate Vision app, you can identify difficulties in focusing at VDU distance and estimate the power of an additional lens needed to supplement your prescription. 2WIN measures a patient’s refraction when reading from displays at 66 cm (2 ‘).

LC-App

This feature allows you to accurately center spectacle lenses relative to the optical axis of the far-sighted eye The Lens Centering app can provide information on: the half interpupillary distance, the distance between the optical axis and the upper or lower frame limit, the distance between the optical axis and the corresponding nose pad.

Zoom

The 2WIN Zoom application helps to detect infrared artifacts caused by other visual impairments (opacity, foreign bodies, etc.). This feature allows you to get an automatic focus of the infrared retinoscopy to examine it accurately.

For each

2WIN allows objective refraction of adults, children from 2 months old, the elderly, and patients with and without cooperation. It operates at a distance of 1 meter from the patient, so direct contact between the patient and the device is not required.

There is no need for cycloplegic medication

2WIN, thanks to its advanced accommodation correction technology, does not require cycloplegic medication. This provides faster and more accurate objective refraction, especially for children and babies.
“In our experience with 2WIN in Alaska and in a remote Burmese clinic, we have shown that this photopic screen produces refraction estimates very comparable to a state-of-the-art Retinomax manual autorefractor. It is reliable and provides timely objective screening that will reduce amblyopia blindness for the program that uses it.” ~ Dr. Robert Arnold (Pediatric Ophthalmologist)

Kaleidos' first and unique light-independent vision analyzer

Binocular objective refractometer

Kaleidos detects refractive errors such as nearsightedness, farsightedness, astigmatism and other vision anomalies. This procedure is performed through binoculars, under actual vision conditions.

Portable and light-independent

The 2WIN Zoom application helps to detect infrared artifacts caused by other visual impairments (opacity, foreign bodies, etc.). This feature allows you to get an automatic focus of the infrared retinoscopy to examine it accurately.

Fast and accurate

Binocular objective refraction takes only 3 seconds with Kaleidos. The measurement is fully automated and the accuracy of each examination is automatically verified by the instrument.

Self-guided refraction

Kaleidos is controlled via tablet by a convenient app. The device allows you to delegate measurements to your employee and ensures maximum productivity in large population screening programs.

“The Kaleidos refractometer allows simultaneous assessment of refraction and binocular interaction of subjects under natural (no cycloplegia) and non-dissociative conditions, unlike autorefractometers that only work monocularly. Kaleidos is an indispensable tool for screening amblyogenic risk factors (refractive errors, opacity of dioptric aids, strabismus), especially in preschool children.Dr. Mario Angi (ophthalmologist)
